Nichola Welton is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Wales Trinity Saint Davids, Yr Athrofa, Institute of Education and Humanities. Her teaching has focused on Education for Sustainable Development and Sustainable Communities for programmes in Equity and Diversity, and Youth work. Key interests are transformational educational approaches, social-ecology and environmental justice, and addressing social justice issues within the sustainability debate. In addition, as a qualified youth worker, the importance of young people’s voices is also central to my work, which has included working with the Welsh Government and Jersey Government on the United Nation’s Convention of the Rights of the Child.
