Kayleen Asbo, Ph.D., is a pianist, composer, lecturer, and multimedia event producer. She holds advanced degrees in the three separate fields of music, psychology and mythological studies. She is the resident cultural historian for the Santa Rosa Symphony in California and a pre-concert lecturer for the San Francisco Opera and Mendocino Music Festivals, as well as a lecturer on a plethora of topics ranging from Dante and T.S. Eliot to Women’s History for the Osher Lifelong Learning Institutes at UC Berkeley, Dominican University and Sonoma State University. A faculty member of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music for nineteen years, she is now the founder and artistic director for Mythica, an organization that focuses on bringing hope and healing to the world through the integration of contemplation, scholarship and the arts through classes, concerts, rituals, and pilgrimage to sacred sites.
